The White Hart has stood at the heart of Uphill Lincoln since the 14th century, just steps from Lincoln Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. Our wedding packages are built around three simple choices: the Pearl, Emerald and Diamond packages. We’ve designed each one so you can spend less time managing logistics and more time enjoying the day. Prefer a party over a ceremony? The Sapphire package gives you an evening only celebration with all the atmosphere and none of the formality.
The Pearl, Emerald and Diamond Packages
Each package comes with a dedicated Wedding and Events Manager, from your first enquiry to your last dance. That means the planning sits with someone who knows the building inside out, rather than being spread across a team you never quite pin down.
The Pearl, Emerald and Diamond packages move from simple and elegant through to something more indulgent, so you can choose exactly how much you want laid on for the day. Every couple is welcomed with a glass of chilled Prosecco. Our premium packages upgrade this to Champagne on arrival, along with a complimentary suite for your wedding night: chocolates and Champagne waiting in the room.
Across all three packages you’ll find a three course wedding breakfast made from Lincolnshire ingredients, canapés to keep everyone happy during photographs, and an evening buffet with our resident DJ keeping the dance floor busy until last orders.
An Evening Worth Its Own Package: Sapphire
Not every wedding needs a full day of ceremony and breakfast. Sometimes you just want the party. That’s what our Sapphire package is for: an evening reception with drinks, canapés, a buffet and our resident DJ, in the same rooms as our full day couples. It works especially well if you’re marrying elsewhere and bringing everyone back to Lincoln to celebrate properly.
Three Rooms, One Roof
Where should you say ‘I do’? The Royal Courtyard sits beneath a glass dome and holds a wedding licence for up to 100 guests. It’s one of the few places in Lincoln where you can marry and dance under the same roof.
The King Richard II Suite runs alongside it, with an oak floored grandeur of its own. It seats up to 100 on its own, or combines with the Courtyard for evening receptions of up to 200. And for something more intimate, the Bailgate Room carries a licence for up to 40 guests: a smaller wedding with all the same history behind it.
Food and Drink Fit for the Occasion
Our chefs build every wedding menu from Lincolnshire ingredients. Every couple gets a complimentary tasting before the day too, so nothing arrives as a surprise. From arrival drinks through to the evening spread, we shape the food around what you and your guests actually want to eat, not a fixed script.
A Wedding Worth Waking Up To
We have 53 rooms, including suites and a luxury serviced, self catering townhouse looking over Castle Square. So your wedding night doesn’t have to end when the reception does.
Many couples book a run of rooms for family and friends. It turns one evening into a weekend: breakfast together the next morning, with the Cathedral bells still carrying over Bailgate.
