Beautiful Lincolnshire

Lincolnshire is often referred to as the UK’s larder and is a proudly independent county. It is also one of the most varied, with a wild, beautiful coast, rolling Wolds and expansive fenland. Characterful market towns and wide-open skies are part of the region’s undeniable charm.

Undiscovered Coast

Lincolnshire is famous for its traditional seaside resorts, but also boasts nature reserves and unspoiled sand dunes that stretch on for miles. Golden beaches, nature rich marshland and wildlife havens provide a rich biodiversity.

Lincolnshire Wolds

North of Lincoln and stretching to the coast, the Lincolnshire Wolds is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AoNB). From the rolling hills of the Viking Way, to quaint market towns such as Louth and Alford, the area remains a hidden gem, ready to explore during a leisurely drive (or cycle!).

Heritage

Lincolnshire has a varied and important history, with the county’s market towns being important trade stops in the past. It also has a proud artisanal food history, with traditional dishes such as Stuffed Chine, Lincolnshire Sausages and Plum Bread being its most famous exports. The county also has an intrinsic link to WW2, being home to many RAF bases and the famous Dambusters 617 Squadron.
